The challenge
Högt & Lågt saw an increasing need to centralize data and streamline work related to inspection and incident reporting. The challenge they faced was moving away from traditional methods like paper and pen. Linda Oscarsson, HSEQ Manager at Högt & Lågt, recognized the potential of using Molnify to create a tool where development and design could be managed internally, without the need for advanced programming skills. She also realized that if they were to use any of the ready-made solutions available from various providers, they would have to spend too much time (and money) customizing them to fit Högt & Lågt’s needs.
The goal
Högt & Lågt needed to modernize their operations, streamline the management of safety and incident reporting, and find a way for all parks to work uniformly. The management decided to move towards digitalization and give Linda, one of Sweden’s most experienced climbers, creative freedom to build a solution that truly fit Högt & Lågt.
The goal was to create custom web applications with Molnify to handle the company’s unique requirements and processes. By building all the logic in Excel, there was no need to hire external IT expertise, and Linda, with her unique knowledge, could create tools tailored for Högt & Lågt. Linda also realized that Molnify’s SQL database, to which all apps can both write and read from, would give her a completely new insight into how work progressed in the parks.

The solution
Through their collaboration with Molnify, Högt & Lågt developed several custom applications to manage safety in the parks. These applications have made it easier for park employees to conduct daily safety checks and quickly log incident reports if an accident occurs. By allowing Linda to develop the software in Excel herself, she has had great flexibility and unmatched scalability to meet the company’s growing needs and changing requirements.
The app has been customized to meet the unique needs of each climbing park, with specially designed features that cater to specific activities and safety requirements. By easily adjusting user permissions, the staff can efficiently manage and oversee all logging of inspections, deviations, and incidents. This capability helps maintain higher safety standards and increases operational efficiency.
Högt & Lågt has also integrated APIs to communicate with Norwegian authorities, becoming the first climbing park to do so, as required by the Norwegian government for incident reporting. Moving forward, other functional updates to the apps are planned, which will further enhance their value and user-friendliness.
