In my opinion, Excel is an excellent program for creators, but it can sometimes be less fantastic for someone using a file built by someone else. Even if the person is skilled in Excel, it often takes time to understand the model, and there’s a risk of overwriting formulas, plus security is low. While it’s possible to use Excel on a phone, it’s hardly convenient.
Molnify is our solution to this! We wanted to find a way where everyone with Excel knowledge can become software developers and create customized software! You build your Excel model just as usual, with =VLOOKUPs, =INDEX, =IF, and so on. Then, you color the inputs green, the outputs (cells with formulas) red, and chart or table cells blue. Upload to Molnify, and you have software that works just like your Excel file but looks entirely different. The web app becomes easy to use, you can hide what you don’t want to show (e.g., formulas), and using it on a phone is just as good as on a computer or tablet. Styling the app with your logo and colors is a piece of cake!
